On December 6, 2025, the ZIL Cultural Center hosted a concert by the Moscow Singers Chamber Choir, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this season.
Classics in art are recognized as a great achievement of human genius, an unshakable standard and model.
Classics have the wonderful ability to change due to the risk and ability of their creators to break the rules. Take a closer look at well-known classics: they are all creative «hooligans» in some way. A great author is the one who is most often argued with, the one who is most often criticized, but who is firmly confident in his own voice.
So who are the classics? And who is the standard and classic for us today?
The Moscow Singers have prepared a concert program called «Playing with Classics» for you, the knowledgeable listeners. You will hear works by P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rakhmaninoff, A. Grechaninov, V. Kalinnikov, P. Chesnokov, as well as our contemporaries V. Agafonnikov, V. Kalistratov, and E. Podgaits.
