Ilya Yuryevich Myakishev is a founder and an art director and a chief conductor of Moskovskiye Pevchie choir.

He graduated from the Academic Musical College at the Conservatory and the Moscow State Conservatory named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky and now he is a chief choirmaster of the State Academic Moscow (regional) choir named by A.D. Kozhevnikov.

Since 2001 Ilya Yuryevich Myakishev has been teaching at the Academic College of Music at the Moscow Conservatory and is an editor-compiler of the book seria: “State Academic Moscow Regional Choir (1956-2000)”, “V.G. Sokolov. Articles. Conversations. Memoirs”, an author of various publications and articles on the problems of the history and modernity of the choral art.
